Our Story

Kitusai began his musical career busking in the Parisian metro and composing noise and percussion suites for John Ricciardi and Pierre Clémenti’s alternative films at the Beaubourg studios in the late 70s.

He later relocated to the Béarnais Piedmont with his guitars, keyboards, and tams, establishing his first analog, then digital, ‘sheepfold studio’. From this rural enclave, he shapes a singular sound craft marked by a radical cosmopolitanism, multiplying borderless collaborations via the Internet. There, he quietly dissects traditional musical instruments and organic field recordings, fusing them with advanced digital craftsmanship.

His latest magnum opus, Dream Reels, is a dazzling steampunk electronic tapestry where ancient, sacred texts are treated as the intangible heritage of humanity. Backed by the piercing, ironical, and sophisticated vocal interpretations of singers Liam and Natalie, Kitusai delivers a breathtaking sonic theater that bridges timeless poetry with modern political satire.
